Why Does It Matter? What Do Scientists Say?
The decline of memory and other cognitive functions is becoming an increasingly urgent issue for society.
Our brain never stops working — we learn, remember, and make decisions every day.
But over time, these abilities begin to fade. The reasons include:
-
Aging — with age, cognitive functions deteriorate: the ability to memorize, process, and recall information declines.
-
COVID-19 — has left millions struggling with memory and concentration issues (loss of smell often leads to a decrease in cognitive performance).
-
Stress and fatigue — accelerate these processes.
-
Brain diseases — the early signs of conditions like dementia and Alzheimer’s often begin with a loss of smell and a decline in memory.
We start to forget, lose clarity — and with it, the quality of life.

The results exceeded expectations:
-
Memory improved by 226%
-
DTI scans showed strengthened white matter in the uncinate fasciculus — the area that connects emotion and cognition
-
Reduced anxiety and overall improvement in well-being
And the most remarkable part: participants didn’t have to do anything.
They simply slept.
In 2023, the University of California conducted an experiment.
A group of participants aged 60 and older slept every night for six months in a room where a diffuser released natural essential oils.

Our Solution
We turned the scientific experiment into a device called AromaCore — designed to become a natural part of your everyday life.

The images show the engineering prototype and design renderings.
The final version may differ slightly in materials, color, or internal layout.
It restores memory, focus, and cognitive function — while you sleep.
In their experiment, American scientists showed that just two hours of aromatherapy during sleep can double memory performance in six months.

It can become an effective, low-effort way to take care of your brain health.
AromaCore is a smart device:
-
Holds 7 cartridges at once, each designed to last 6–8 months, and automatically switches between them on schedule.
-
Automatically recognizes each oil cartridge.
-
Monitors oil levels and optimizes distribution based on your room size.
-
Notifies you when it’s time to replace a cartridge.
-
Comes with a mobile app that lets you control AromaCore.
-
Inside the app, you can (and should) take a special Rey Auditory Verbal Learning Test once every three months to track your cognitive progress.
With it, you don’t need to do anything special — just turn it on, set the timer, and let your body and brain do all the work while you sleep.

Older adults
As we age, memory and focus decline — we start forgetting things more often and feel less engaged with life.
Olfactory stimulation reactivates areas of the brain that typically begin to “shut down” with aging.
Inherited Risk
People with a family history of dementia or other brain-related conditions.
The disease itself isn’t inherited, but the predisposition can be.
The risk, however, can be significantly reduced through the right preventive actions.
COVID-19
Scientists have long known that loss of smell is linked to the risk of more than 70 neurological and psychiatric disorders.
After COVID-19, brain changes have been observed that resemble a decade of natural aging — weakening the connections in areas responsible for memory and learning.
This leads to reduced concentration and an increased risk of cognitive impairment.

Who is AromaCore made for?
Students and people who work with information
When you need to memorize large amounts of data, process it, and stay focused, scents help the brain absorb and retain information more effectively — and, most importantly, maintain cognitive performance over time.

People interested in personal development
It’s an effortless way to enhance your abilities — without stimulants or pills.
You sleep — and your brain trains itself. What could be better?
How does AromaCore work?
At the core of the technology is a flow of warm air
-
A built-in fan directs air into a special manifold.
-
From the manifold, seven separate channels lead out — one for each cartridge.
-
Inside the manifold are heating elements that gently warm the air to around 50 °C.
-
At a set time, a valve opens.
-
The warm airflow moves into a dedicated air chamber connected to a cartridge with a wick. The wick absorbs the aromatic blend and releases it into the air.
-
As a result of this carefully controlled natural evaporation, the scent spreads quickly and evenly throughout the room — preserving the quality, safety, and natural character of the essential oils.
What happens to us when AromaCore is working?
Each breath triggers a chain of processes in the brain.
Aroma molecules go straight to the olfactory bulb and — directly, without filters — into the hippocampus and amygdala.
These are the centers of memory and emotion.
That’s why scent affects us faster and deeper than sound or sight.

The result — and how to see it
In the AromaCore app and on the website, you’ll find a special Rey Auditory Verbal
Learning Test — a method used to assess memory, perception, and the ability to retain information.
By taking this test at the start and again after six months of therapy, you’ll be able to see how much your cognitive performance has improved and track your recovery progress.

Here’s what that means in practice:
.png)
Long-term effect
-
Memory becomes more stable.
-
Connections between emotional and cognitive areas strengthen.
-
Neuroplasticity increases — the brain forms new neural pathways.
-
Signals travel faster thanks to improved white matter integrity.
-
A cognitive reserve is built — a buffer of resilience against aging and dementia.
You remember better
When stimulated, the brain strengthens working memory.
Recalling a phone number or learning new information becomes easier.

Information retention
Sleep is the time when short-term memories are consolidated into long-term ones — and scents enhance this process.
In other words, your brain trains itself while you sleep.
Emotional balance
The sense of smell is closely linked to the amygdala and hippocampus — the centers of emotion.
That’s why scents can relieve anxiety, help you relax, or, on the contrary, boost alertness and focus.
